VODACOM Signs Agreement with HTAF to Restore Smiles for Children with Heart Conditions

Vodacom Tanzania has signed a partnership agreement with Heart Team Africa Foundation (HTAF) to support medical treatment for children suffering from heart diseases — a move aimed at restoring hope and improving the lives of children in need. Speaking during the signing ceremony, HTAF CEO Dr. Naizihijwa Majani expressed heartfelt gratitude to Vodacom for their commitment to collaborating in delivering life-saving medical care to children. "We sincerely thank Vodacom for joining hands with us in this noble mission of saving children's lives. Through this partnership, Vodacom will cover 30% of the treatment costs for each child receiving care under this initiative," said Dr. Majani. This agreement targets children from underprivileged backgrounds who cannot afford the high costs associated with heart treatment, which often involves specialized care and surgical interventions. With Vodacom’s support, more children will now access timely treatment and be able to return to their normal lives, attend school, and pursue their dreams. The collaboration between HTAF and Vodacom represents a strong example of how private sector companies and nonprofit organizations can work together to improve public health outcomes, especially among vulnerable groups. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 — ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages. By investing in children's health, the partnership contributes to building a stronger and more hopeful future for Tanzania.
