Htaf Overview

The Heart Team Africa Foundation (HTAF) a supportive organization for Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) emerges amidst the rising burden of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), attributed to urbanization and sedentary lifestyles. HTAF established by the JKCI as an independent Organisation registered under a Non-Governmental Organinaction Act, No. 24, aims to address obstacles in cardiovascular care provision and enhance community health outcomes. It focuses on prevention, early detection, and effective management of CVDs, HTAF endeavours to expand patient support, raise awareness, mobilize resources, advance medical research, and strengthen capacity building. Rooted in collaborative efforts, HTAF seeks to unite stakeholders and foster regional and global partnerships to combat CVDs, positioning itself as a vital entity in improving cardiovascular health across Africa and beyond..

HTAF Foundation Activities
